Winston is your typical handsome Golden Retriever. He is sweet, handsome and full of energy. He loves people, and it doesn’t matter who you are, he will come up and let you give him a nice pat. He can be a little shy at first but once he sniffs you out a bit, he’ll be your instant BFF! Winston loves being outdoors and going on new adventures. He also loves playing fetch and enjoys going on long walks. Winston loves love and has plenty of it to go around. He would love to have someone to hang out with all the time. He prefers not to be left alone, but he is crate trained. Sometimes he gets a little excited when he first meets new friends, so we are still working on his manners and leash training. Winston is such a blessing and he can’t wait to be a part of your FUR-EVER home!

We require an application and home visit prior to being considered for adoption. TSBR is a foster based rescue program and does not have a shelter or facility. Only approved adopters may meet our dogs outside of a public event.
The mission of Texas Sporting Breed Rescue, Inc. (TSBR) is to provide for the welfare, shelter and adoption of lost, abandoned, neglected, or homeless dogs and puppies, specifically; The American Kennel Club (AKC) defined sporting group breeds - Retrievers, Setters, Pointers, Spaniels, Vizlas, Weimaraners, and Spinone Italianos; to promote the responsible care of companion animals, to actively promote spaying and neutering as the most humane means of animal control; to support heartworm education and treatment; and to provide training and education to the public related to topics such as: animal welfare, responsible dog ownership and breed information.
