Meet Benno! He is a 15-month-old Labrador. He is very loving and sweet natured. Benno is intelligent, playful, and a fast learner. He is very food-motivated so he can learn new tricks quickly! Benno is a big sporty boy who needs a lot of exercise. Chewing on a deer antler and playing in the backyard are some of his favorite activities. Benno is currently perfecting his on-leash manners and other basic commands like sit, stay and lay down. Benno is a big dog so he will need a family who is comfortable with his clumsy young Lab presence. Benno loves other dogs and loves to be around new friendly faces, including kids. Benno is very comfortable in his crate and will let you know when he needs bathroom breaks. Don’t let his big size fool you; he really is a glorified lap dog! (TSBR) is to provide for the welfare, shelter and adoption of lost, abandoned, neglected, or homeless dogs and puppies, specifically; The American Kennel Club (AKC) defined sporting group breeds - Retrievers, Setters, Pointers, Spaniels, Vizlas, Weimaraners, and Spinone Italianos; to promote the responsible care of companion animals, to actively promote spaying and neutering as the most humane means of animal control; to support heartworm education and treatment; and to provide training and education to the public related to topics such as: animal welfare, responsible dog ownership and breed information.
