Bop is a very sweet girl. Having had a rough start, she can take a while to come out of her shell at first and can be very unsure/afraid, so she will need patience, but she is improving every day! Bop is very loving, smart, silly and she’s a complete Velcro dog. Mostly she just enjoys being with others and following you around to relax in whatever room you’re in. She gets along well with other dogs in fact dog brothers and sisters make her more content. We have been working on walking on the leash, and I think she likes it more and more each day. She is potty trained, and has no issues getting in her crate at night to go to bed. She likes toys and every so often has a burst of the zoomies in the back yard. We require an application and home visit prior to being considered for adoption. TSBR is a foster based rescue program and does not have a shelter or facility. Only approved adopters may meet our dogs outside of a public event.
The mission of Texas Sporting Breed Rescue, Inc. (TSBR) is to provide for the welfare, shelter and adoption of lost, abandoned, neglected, or homeless dogs and puppies, specifically; The American Kennel Club (AKC) defined sporting group breeds - Retrievers, Setters, Pointers, Spaniels, Vizlas, Weimaraners, and Spinone Italianos; to promote the responsible care of companion animals, to actively promote spaying and neutering as the most humane means of animal control; to support heartworm education and treatment; and to provide training and education to the public related to topics such as: animal welfare, responsible dog ownership and breed information.
